Hey man! There are a lot of issues we're running into with DMing online. A major part is learning how to give enough information to progress the story without the DM with the DM still being involved. I'm still figuring it out, didnt expect the games to be so popular with so many posts so quickly.

Hey man! There are a lot of issues we're running into with DMing online. A major part is learning how to give enough information to progress the story without the DM with the DM still being involved. I'm still figuring it out, didnt expect the games to be so popular with so many posts so quickly. Neither did I! Also one of the things I'm finding is that since my RPG encourages people to PM me when they want to do things they don't want the others finding out, the past couple of days I must've sent well over 60 PMs to people. It's a tough balance. You want the freedom for people to post so they can post actual dialogue and story content and even character interaction text but if you let people post willy nilly, sometimes things get a little carried away. But if you restrict it, you stifle most of the story on the dot. Then there's working out a sensible order to posting - to stop people doing one thing when someone else earlier would have contradicted it, etc. It's a huge amount of fun, but it is hard.

I look at DMPM's as being the "internal voice" of my character - i will always post the sanitised version publicly even if its meaning is lost on most
