*particles* i mean *waves* so, as mentioned in a nation at war, sloth is temporarily out of commission, plus his adventure is the only one running, so to keep us amused while taking some pressure off him, i wanna inaugurate "bite-sized adventures", short scenarios with or without continuity, designed to be resolved quickly and with less involvement than a full campaign. anyone can run one, and you're free to do as you will with then (they may even evolve into a full campaign in the future!); for example, mine will likely have fixed character archetypes to choose from, who you can flesh out somewhat, and who may later appear as NPCs should i make subsequent stories within a single continuity. examples of BS adventures (lol) could include black-ops missions, diplomatic encounters, exploration of a long lost ruin, etc. this thread is for people to chime in with what they want to see used in a short adventure, that anyone may then use as ideas to create one. be as detailed or as vague as you like. examples: "wh40k space marines" or "the first war for armageddon"; "diplomacy" or "a diplomatic entourage having dinner with hitler"; etc etc, so on and so forth. bring it

I'm contemplating a short treasure hunt in the Fallout world. Exploring a factory or some landmark somewhere. Would be incredibly short, but it would be a thing. May change it to a caravan run to allow for other approaches and a longer adventure. Actually, no I'll do that.
Give me until Thursday to flesh something out and get work out the way and I'll have a fallout BS up

"a diplomatic entourage having dinner with hitler" A bunch of politicians, leaders, influential people (from any era) at an S&M party. All in rubber masks. Dibs I am Gandhi!

Just realised you were asking for suggestions for you sorry fishy, didn't mean to step on your toes. I'll keep that one to myself if you like and save it for another time For you though...40k would be interesting. If you just want combat then space marines, otherwise inquisition probably works. Have one person be an inquisitor (or an npc actually) and everyone else be people he's hire for the specific investigation. Can either go our own ways after, or they decide to keep us on. I think Bzza mentioned soon something from the evil side. orks would let people be very silly

Why not both do one as neither Zaad or Sloth aren't doing one at the mo'?
Yeah - I thought one using all the "horrible" stuff from WH (Orcs, skaven, lizardmen) would be interesting, but as the races don't get along, then maybe choose a race and have a mission based around them doing something for the "greater good".
It would be silly, but possibly lots of fun...maybe.

also, suggestion to make his easier to manage: trying to have a well-defined goal for each BS adventure. examples: save X; find Y; kill Z; seduce your mom; build something.

Yeah, I'll likely do mine as "X hired you to deliver Y" and have a couple ambushes/meetings on roads and a couple settlements with a bit of voluntary foraging/exploration of ruins thrown in. But for the most part I'll have a New Vegas map open in front of me and they'd be sticking to a route. If it goes well I'd probably be willing to open it up.

You sort of covered it with your sci fi thing, but earlier I was thinking a game around SOE operatives in ww2 could be cool. Assassinations, sabotage, ambushes, all while trying to avoid detection
